Several years ago I wrote an article about how my neighbor created patriotic-themed rooms in her lake house. \u00a0If you want to create the same look in your home follow these steps below:<\/p>\n
1. Purchase an area rug or carpet that highlights the theme<\/p>\n
2. Repeat the red, white and blue theme all around the room<\/p>\n
3. Paint a shelf red and add bears or clowns to it<\/p>\n
4. Paint existing outdoor furniture to match the theme<\/p>\n
5. Add throws, pillows, candles and lamps with flag themes<\/p>\n
6. Paint an old bench or table red, white and blue and add stripes<\/p>\n
7. Paint a lamp in the theme colors and cut out stars in the lamp shade<\/p>\n
8. Display antique flags, Uncle Sam\u2019s and other patriotic memorabilia<\/p>\n
