{"id":329,"date":"2012-01-29T21:58:38","date_gmt":"2012-01-29T21:58:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mi-ling.com\/blog\/?p=329"},"modified":"2012-03-11T14:43:21","modified_gmt":"2012-03-11T20:43:21","slug":"lemon-bars-with-buttermilk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mi-ling.com\/home\/lemon-bars-with-buttermilk\/","title":{"rendered":"Lemon Bars with Buttermilk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ingredients<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Crust<br \/>\n<\/strong>1 1\/2 cups of all purpose flour<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp salt<br \/>\n1\/3 cup sugar<br \/>\n1\/2 &#8211; 1\u00a0\u00a0tablespoon lemon zest (based on your preference)<br \/>\n1\/2 cup softened butter<br \/>\n<strong>Filling<br \/>\n<\/strong>4 large eggs<br \/>\n1 1\/3 cups of sugar<br \/>\n1\/2 cup of buttermilk<br \/>\n1\/2 cup of lemon juice,( freshly squeezed or from concentrate)<br \/>\n1 tablespoon of lemon zest<\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions<br \/>\n<\/strong>In a a food processor or a large bowl\u00a0 blend flour, sugar, lemon zest and salt together.<br \/>\nCut butter into 5 pieces and add to mixture.<br \/>\nPulse in food processor or mix with a hand blender until mixture forms coarse crumbs.<br \/>\nPress crust into a 9&#215;9 pan and press down until it forms an even layer.<\/p>\n<p>Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes, or until edges are lightly brown. Bake at 325 degrees in a convection oven.<\/p>\n<p>For filling, whisk together all the ingredients in a large bowl.\u00a0 Pour the filling over the hot crust one it&#8217;s removed from the oven.<br \/>\nBake for 20 minutes or until filling is set.
