Now that the New Year is here\u2026it\u2019s time to get all your ducks in a row and start putting together your New Year’s resolution.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m not talking about eating right, exercising or any of the normal resolutions we start with at the beginning of the year.\u00a0 I\u2019m talking about a plan to create a comfort zone in your home one vision at a time.<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s the plan.<\/p>\n
Find a large board and divide it into four sections two on the front and two on the back. Pick four rooms that you want to start with and label the rooms.<\/p>\n
Instead of creating a color palette for each room begin cutting out things in magazines and newspapers that appeal to your vision. Go online and print off your favorite photos as well.<\/p>\n
You can involve the entire family in this project. Let your son or daughter cut out items for their rooms and maybe your husband can pull out things for his home office.<\/p>\n
The next step is to start working on purchasing or changing out items in your home to get that look and feel. Start with getting rid of items in your home that don\u2019t fit the style and feel you\u2019re looking for in the new year.\u00a0 You can donate these items, repaint them, reupholster them or just give them to a friend in need.<\/p>\n
Feel free to add trips to your favorite destinations so you can find inspiration for your new space.<\/p>\n
Give this a try and you\u2019ll see subtle changes in your home and in your life as you grow and learn.<\/p>\n
