When I was a child my mother always made these delicious cinnamon treats with the leftover dough from her pie crust! I made some last night!

Ingredients:

1 Round homemade pie crust or refrigerated pie crust

1/2 stick of softened butter

Cinnamon sugar mixture:

I don’t measure; I just mix everything together in a small bowl. The mixture should be a dark brown color. Start with this and add as needed.

1/4 cup of sugar

1 tsp of ground cinnamon

1 dash of nutmeg

Mix dry ingredients together.  Spread butter on pie crust, and then sprinkle cinnamon mixture on the entire pie dough.  Use more if needed. Roll the dough up started at one end and then slice as desired.

Place in a round baking pan. Stand each piece up and brush on more butter and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon sugar.

Bake at 350°F  for 15-20 minutes.

Enjoy!
